What BMW says about it
The value indicates the current fuel tank level in litres or gallons at the time of data collection. Depending on the position of the tank float, the specified value may differ by up to 6 litres or 1.6 gallons.

In Home Assistant
BavarianData creates an entity called “Range Tank level” for it, with the right unit and device class. For it to receive values, the descriptor has to be switched on in BMW's Data Selection; the setup wizard does that in one click.
